Designated Use

This article is intended for private use as a

lead for dogs with a maximum weight of

35kg. Only use this lead when walking the

dog by and never use it to tie a dog to a

stationary object!

Safety Advice

Danger of Injury

• Only use this article in the way it is

intended for use.

• Keep the article and its packaging well

out of the reach of children.

• Danger of cuts! Do not touch the rope/

the belt (Fig. B).

• Never wrap the rope/the belt around the

bodily parts of animals or humans. This

will avoid possible strangulation or trip-

ping up (Fig. C).

• Free the dog immediately if it becomes

tangled up in the leash / harness.

• Do not use the strap to form a noose, do

not wrap around the dog’s neck.

The noose will tighten with tension and

may harm the dog.

• Always check the lead for damage and

wear-and-tear before each use.

This article should only be used when in

good condition.

• The collar used must be robust enough

and in good condition. If the collar or the

rope/belt tear whilst in use, apply the

brake to the rope/belt and turn the head

to the side.

• Never open the casing as the inner spring

could cause injury.

Safety Instructions for Use

WARNING!

• Pay attention to the fact that even smaller

dogs can be very strong. Children and

older people should not attempt to use

this product.

• You are always responsible all of the time

for the behaviour of your dog. Keep it

under control.

• Consider, in a foresighted manner, how

you can keep your dog under control in a

critical situation.

• Keep your animal at close quarters

BEFORE a dangerous situation.

Pay attention to other people and your

animal, particularly on footpaths and

whilst crossing cycle paths.

• If other people or animals are nearby,

your dog should be brought to heel using

the permanent stop-switch.

• Dogs are a danger to wildlife especially

during the breeding and gestation

periods. Every dog will react differently.

Maintain a responsible attitude and make

sure that your animal does not endanger

anyone or prove a nuisance.

Warnings regarding

batteries!

• Only use batteries from the same

manufacturer and of the same type.

• Remove the battery if it is empty or if the

product is not going to be used for a long

period.

• Warning! The batteries may not be

charged or reactivated by other means

and may not be dismantled, thrown in the

fire, or short-circuited.

• Always keep batteries out of the reach of

children.

• Do not recharge non-rechargeable

batteries.

• Rechargeable batteries may only be

charged under adult supervision.

• Rechargeable batteries must be removed

from the article before they are charged.

• Do not short-circuit the connection

terminals. Danger!

• Handle a damaged or leaking battery

with extreme care and dispose of it

immediately in accordance with

regulations. Wear gloves.

• If you come into contact with battery acid

then wash the affected area with water

and soap. If you get battery acid in

your eyes then rinse it with water and

seek medical treatment immediately.

Replacing the battery

(figure D)

There is a battery in the battery

compartment (7). If the battery is not

working you can replace it.

1. Remove the battery compartment from

the tape and loosen the two screws

using a suitable screwdriver (7a).

2. Remove the cover on the battery

compartment and carefully remove the

empty battery from the battery compart-

ment before exchanging it for a new

battery.

Note: Make sure that the positive and

negative sides on the battery are facing the

right way and that the battery is inserted

correctly.

4. The battery must be located fully within

the battery compartment.

5. Screw the cover back on securely and

push the battery compartment into the

loop.

Use

Basic function

Hold the article by the handle (4) – the cord

(8) runs into the casing (1) without sagging.

Short-term stop

Press the stop button (3) down halfway.

The lead is blocked as long as the button is

held down.

Long-term stop

Press the stop button (3) down and slide

the locking bar (2) forward, or press the

stop button (3) down hard all the way (the

locking bar (2) will click in automatically).

Releasing the long-term stop

Pull the locking bar (2) back.

Bring the dog back to your side

To retract the cord (8)/the lead (6), swing

your arm forward.

Activate the short-term stop and bring the

dog closer to you. Release the short-term

stop and repeat the process until the dog is

at your side.

LED light

The tape can be lit at the push of a button.

Press on the button on the battery compart-

ment (7). You can choose between three

types of lighting:

• Press once: LED light flashes

• Press twice: LED light flashes more quickly

• Press three times: LED constantly lit

Care & storage

Regularly clean the mechanics of the pro-

duct to maintain correct functionality.

ATTENTION! Only use water, never harsh

cleaning agents.

Dry with a cloth. In the event the strap beco-

mes wet, retract it from the housing, engage

the lock and allow the cord to dry.

Always store the product dry and clean in a

temperate room.

In the event your pet becomes ill be sure to

disinfect this product. Consult a trusted veteri-

narian for suitable sanitizers and disinfectants.

Battery disposal

measures

Batteries may not be disposed

of with domestic waste!

Return the batteries to the

relevant collection points or to

the retailer who sold them.

Batteries are marked with a

rubbish bin with a cross

through it and with the chemi-

cal symbol for hazardous

materials, namely ‘Cd’ for

cadmium, ‘Hg’ for mercury

and ‘Pb’ for lead.

Disposal

Please dispose of the product and packa-

ging in an environmentally friendly manner,

separating

different materials for recycling as

required! Dispose of this item through an

authorised disposal company or through

your local waste disposal facilities - ask your

local authority for information if further gui-

dance is required. Ensure that you comply

with all regulations currently in force.

and under constant supervision. You receive

a three-year warranty for this product from

the date of purchase. Please retain your

receipt.

The warranty applies only to material and

workmanship and does not apply to misuse

or improper handling. Your statutory rights,

especially the warranty rights, are not af-

fected by this warranty.

With regard to complaints, please contact

the subsequent procedure as quickly as

possible. We will be personally available to

discuss the situation with you.

Any repairs under the warranty, statutory gu-

arantees or through goodwill do not extend

the warranty period. This also applies to

replaced and repaired parts. Repairs after
