• Only use the device in conjunction with

the base station supplied.

• None of the parts are suitable for use

in microwave ovens.

• Never put alcohol, sugar or milk into

the glass pot!

• Always allow the glass pot to cool be-

fore filling it with cold water. Large tem-

perature differences create large

stresses in the glass and may cause it to

shatter.

• Place the device on a stable, flat surface.

• Only use the original accessories.

• Do not use any astringent or abrasive

cleaning agents.

4. How to use

Only connect the device to an easily

accessible wall socket whose voltage

corresponds to the specifications on

the rating label. The wall socket must

continue to be easily accessible after

the device is plugged in.

• Pull the mains plug15 out from the wall

socket after every use.

• Remove all packaging material.

• Check to ensure that all parts are pre-

sent and undamaged.

• Place the device on a stable, flat surface.

1. Ensure that the On / Off switch11 is

set to O.

2. Insert the mains plug

into a wall sock-

et corresponding to the technical data.

5. Before using for the

first time

1. Carefully rinse out all parts of the boil-

ing system5 and the glass pot8 (see

“Cleaning” on page 7).

2. Remove the boiling system and fill the

glass pot8 with water to the MAX

marking9.

3. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice or lemon

concentrate to the water. If this is not avail-

able, you can add a teaspoon of loose tea

directly into the water.

4. Insert the boiling system5 into the glass

pot8.

5. Close the lid6 and place the glass pot8

on the base14.

6. Use the On / Off switch11 to switch

the device on (I). The control light12

and the On / Off switch will light up.

Wait until the control light goes out.

7. Use the On / Off switch

to switch the

device off (

) and clean the device (see

“Cleaning” on page 7).

6. Operation

DANGER of injuries through

scalding!

Do not bend over the glass pot8

when you open the lid6 and the

contents are still hot. There is a dan-

ger of being scalded by escaping

steam.

•The glass pot8 and boiling system5

become very hot during operation, you

should therefore protect your hands e.g.

using oven gloves.

• Keep the lid6 of the glass pot8 closed

during the boiling process, as otherwise

the automatic deactivation system will

not work and boiling water will spray

out.

•The glass pot8 must not be filled with

water above the MAX marking9, other-
