This digital spoon scale is intended for weighing

smallquantities(300g/10.58oz).

The device is designed for private, domestic use.

This device must not be used for commercial pur-

poses.

place the product on radiators

or expose it to direct sunlight.

Otherwise, there is an increased

danger of batteries leaking.

¤If battery acid has leaked, avoid

contact with the skin, eyes and

mucous membranes. In case of

contact with the acid, rinse the

affected area at once with plenty

of clean water and seek medical

assistance immediately.

Before using for the rst time

• Remove all packing material.

• Check that the device is undamaged.

• Clean the measuring spoon1.

Inserting/replacing batteries

WARNING! Risk of material damage!

Be sure to observe the correct polarity when inserting

the batteries.

NOTE: as soon as the battery power decreases,

the display2 will show the symbol . The batteries

should then be replaced.

1. Presstheupperapofthebatterycompartment

lid8 towards the battery compartment lid8 and

folditopenwiththeapupwards.Removeany

used batteries.

2. Place the 2 batteries of type AAA, LR03 (each

1.5V),asillustratedinsidethebatterycompart-

ment7.

3. Place the battery compartment lid8 on the bat-

tery compartment7 and press it down until it

snaps shut.

Operation

Switching on and off

• Press the button ON/OFF TARE5. After a test

of all display segments, 0.0g will appear. The

device is ready to use.

• Press and hold the button ON/OFF TARE5 to

switch off the device.

• Thedevicewillswitchoffautomatically1minute

after the last button is pressed or the last meas-

urement.

Changing unit of measurement

• Press and hold the button ∑/UNIT3 to switch

between grams (g) and ounces (oz).

Weighing

1. Switch the device on using the button ON/OFF

TARE5.

2. Fill the measuring spoon1 with the contents to be

weighed.

3. Hold the device horizontal and steady in your

hand by the handle6, or place the device on

aatsurface.Ifnecessary,holdtherearendof

the handle6 steady to prevent the measuring

spoon1 from tipping over on the surface.

4. If necessary, press the button HOLD4 to keep

the measurement result displayed. The display2

will show HOLD.

5. Empty the measuring spoon1.

6. Before a new measurement, press the button

HOLD4 again.

Weighing liquids

• The device can also be used for weighing liquids.

The scale of the measuring spoon1 displays

quantities of 15 - 45ml or 1-3tablespoons(tbsp).

Adding weights

NOTE: it is not possible to change units of measure-

ment while adding.

You can display multiple individual measurements

(eachuptomax.300g)addedtogether.

1. Switch the device on using the button ON/OFF

TARE5,andmaketherstmeasurement.

2. Press the button ∑/UNIT3. The display2 shows

the measurement and ∑.

3. Empty the measuring spoon1andrellit.The

display2 will now show the total weight of the

two quantities.

Steps 2. and 3. can be repeated until a total weight

of3kgisreached.Ifthistotalweightisexceeded,

the error message 0-Ld will be displayed.

Tare function

You can also weigh food in containers.

1. Switch on the device using the button ON/OFF

TARE5, and place the container in the measur-

ing spoon1.

2. Press the button ON/OFF TARE5 again. The

measured value is set to 0.0g, and TARE appears

in the display2.

3. Removethecontainer,andplacethelledcon-

tainer in the measuring spoon1. The display will

now show the weight of the content.

4. If required, press the button ON/OFF TARE5

again to perform another measurement with the

lledcontainer.

5. Removethelledcontainerandpressthebutton

ON/OFF TARE5. The spoon scale may now be

used for measurements without a container.

Cleaning / storing

CAUTION: do not use any abrasive or chemical

cleaning agents. These attack the surface of the

device!

1. Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth.

2. Inordertocleanthemeasuringspoon1, remove

it from the handle6 and clean it separately in the

dishwasher.

3. Dry the device well before using it again.

• When no longer using the device, store it in a

place where neither high temperatures nor mois-

ture can affect it.

• In order to avoid unnecessary loads on the spoon

scale, separate the measuring spoon from the

handle.

Disposal

The symbol showing a wheelie bin

crossed through indicates that the prod-

uct requires separate refuse collection

in the European Union. This applies to

the product and all accessories marked

withthissymbol.Productsidentied

with this symbol may not be discarded with normal

household waste, but have to be taken to a collec-

tion point for recycling electric and electronic devic-

es. This disposal is free of charge. Protect the envi-

ronment and dispose of waste properly. Further

information can be obtained from your local disposal

service or city/municipal administration.

Batteries must not be discarded with

your household waste. Spent batteries

must be disposed of properly. Special

containers are available for this pur-

pose in shops selling batteries and at

municipal collection points.

(Rechargeable) batteries marked with the following

letters contain harmful substances such as: Cd (cad-

mium), Hg (mercury), Pb (lead).

Packaging

The packaging is made from recyclable materials.

Dispose of the packaging sorted by materials. When

disposing of the packaging, make sure you comply

with the environmental regulations applicable in your

country.

your device is provided with a 3 year warranty start-

ing with the purchase date. In the event of product

defects, you are entitled to statutory rights against

the vendor. These statutory rights are not restricted

by our warranty presented in the following.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period starts with the purchase date.

Please keep the original purchase receipt in a safe

place. This document is required to verify the pur-

chase.

If within three years from the purchase date of this

product a material or factory defect occurs, the

product will be repaired or replaced by us – at our

discretion – free of charge to you. This warranty im-

plies that within the period of three years the defec-

tive device and the purchase receipt are presented,

including a brief written description of the defect and

the time it occurred.

If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired

or a new product will be returned to you. No new

warranty period starts with a repair or replacement

of the product.

Warranty period and statutory claims

for defects

The warranty period is not extended when the

warranty has been claimed. This also applies to

replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and

defects already existing at the time of purchase must

be reported immediately upon unpacking. Repairs

arising after the expiration of the warranty period

are subject to a charge.

Warranty coverage

The device was produced carefully according to

strict quality guidelines and tested diligently prior to

delivery.

The warranty applies to material or factory defects.

This warranty does not include product parts that are

sidered wear parts; the same applies to damages at

This warranty expires if the product is damaged,

not used as intended or not serviced. For the proper

operation of the product, all instructions listed in the

operating instructions must be observed carefully.

Any form of use and handling that is advised against

in the operating instructions or warned against must

always be avoided.

The product is only intended for private and not

for commercial use. In the case of incorrect and

improper treatment, use of force and interventions

not performed by our authorised Service Centre, the

warranty shall cease.
