This ghd styler is not suitable for use with synthetic hair or wigs.

from water

1. Never use the ghd styler in the bathroom, basin or

any other application where it could come into

contact with water.

2. Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall or

be pulled into a bath, basin or sink.

3. Do not reach for the appliance if it has fallen into water.

4. Do not spray or apply wet styling aids directly onto the ghd styler.

As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live

even when the switch is o. To reduce the risk of electrocution:

1. Only use with 110–240V , 60/50 Hz power supply.

2. The appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.

3. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged power cord or

plug, or if it is not working properly.

4. If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by

Jemella Ltd, its service agent or

a similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

5. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the

power cord around the appliance. Do not hang the ghd styler by

the power cord.

6. Always unplug the ghd styler immediately after using.

7. Do not use an extension power cord with this appliance.

8. Do not use a voltage inverter or generator with

this appliance.

9. Your ghd product is a class II electrical

appliance and should not be connected

to an earth connection.

warning: hot surfaces

The ghd styler heater plates are hot for eective styling. To reduce the

risk of burns:

1. NEVER touch the hot styler plates.

2. When not styling always lay the ghd styler on a at heat-resistant

surface such as a ghd styler heat mat.

3. When styling is complete, always switch o the ghd styler and

unplug it from the power supply.

4. Wait for the ghd styler to cool before storing.

5. When the ghd styler has cooled, fold the power cord in the same

way as it was rst delivered in its packaging. Do not wind it around

your hand or the body of the ghd styler as this can lead to early

failure of the power cord.

Ensure hair is completely dry before using the ghd styler.

1. Plug the ghd styler into the power supply

2. and switch on the ghd styler. The red LED turns on, the ghd

styler heats up and emits a bleep when it reaches the required

temperature for styling.

3. The red LED starts and continues to ash to indicate that the ghd

styler is ready for styling.

The ghd styler has the following safety feature:

1. Sleep mode: if the ghd styler has not been used for 30 minutes

then for safety the heaters will be turned o and the ghd styler

will go into sleep mode. Sleep mode is indicated by the LED light

ashing amber and the ghd styler will give a warning bleep every

20 seconds.

a. Note that although the heaters are turned o, the ghd styler is

still switched on and connected to the power supply –

the ghd styler should be switched o and unplugged at the

earliest opportunity.

b. To re-start the ghd styler from sleep mode, simply switch the

ghd styler o and on again.

Cleaning your ghd styler

1. Unplug the ghd styler from the mains power supply.

2. Always allow the ghd styler to cool before attempting to clean it.

3. Never immerse the appliance in water.

4. Wipe the outside of the ghd styler with a damp cloth.

Do not use sharp or abrasive detergents or corrosive products.

Storage

1. Always allow the ghd styler to cool down before storing away.

2. When the ghd styler has cooled down, fold the power cord in the

same way as it was rst delivered in its packaging. Do not wrap the

supply cord around the ghd styler as this can strain the cord and

cause premature supply cord failure.

In the unlikely event that your ghd product does not operate correctly,

check that the ghd product and mains power supply are switched on,

and that power is available.

For UK plugs, please ensure that the tted fuse is intact and functioning;

if it is not replace it with an identically rated British Standard Fuse.
