WARNING

Precautions



Use only the supplied AC power adaptor. Do not use any other AC power adaptor.

Do not place the system in an inclined position.



Do not place the system in locations that are hot or subject to direct sunlight,

dust, high humidity, or extreme cold.



Use caution when placing the system on a specially treated (waxed, oiled,

polished, etc.) floor, as staining or discoloration may result.

On cleaning

Clean the casings with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution

or water. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, scouring powder or solvent, such as

alcohol or benzene.

Installation

1 Set up the stand located on the rear side of the system , connect

the AC power adaptor , and put the plug of the AC power adaptor

in the wall outlet .

2 Install the “WALKMAN” in the system.



When a strap is attached to your “WALKMAN,” set it under and out to the front

of the “WALKMAN.” Before using the speaker, check that the strings of the strap

are not in the curved groove.



At purchase, the attachment is set into the speaker. If the attachment becomes

detached, slide and set it into the speaker until it clicks as shown in the

illustration.

Listening to Music

1 Play back content on your “WALKMAN.”

2 Press the VOLUME +/– button on the system to adjust the volume.



You can perform playback on your “WALKMAN” installed in the system

without connecting the AC power adaptor.



When you set [SP Output Optimizer] to [SRS-NWGT015] on your

“WALKMAN,” the quality of the sound output from the speaker can be

optimized. Only this sound quality setting is applied to the speaker, while

other sound quality settings are not applied.



For details on how to perform playback on your “WALKMAN,” refer to the

“User Guide” supplied with your “WALKMAN.”



You can also operate your “WALKMAN” with the stand of the speaker closed.

Notes



When playing on your “WALKMAN” without the AC power adaptor

connected, volume output from the system is reduced. The battery of your

“WALKMAN” is also consumed.



If you want to adjust the volume, do so while your “WALKMAN” is installed.

If you disconnect the AC power adaptor during playback and also detach your

“WALKMAN,” the volume is reset to the default setting.



You cannot use the FM radio function while your “WALKMAN” is installed

into the system.



When operating your “WALKMAN” while it is installed into the system, brace

it with your other hand.



When [SP Output Optimizer] is set to [SRS-NWGT015] (default setting) on

your “WALKMAN,” battery life may shorten by approx. 30%.

To recharge the battery of your

“WALKMAN”

If you put your “WALKMAN” in the system while the AC power adaptor is

connected, battery charging starts automatically. Charging progress is displayed on

the “WALKMAN.” For details, refer to the “User Guide” supplied with your

“WALKMAN.”

Troubleshooting

Should you encounter a problem with the system, find your problem in the

troubleshooting checklist below and take the indicated corrective action. If the

problem persists, contact your Sony dealer.

Note that if service personnel change some parts during repair, these parts may be

retained.

When bringing the system in for repairs, be sure to bring in the entire system.

This product is a system product, and the entire system is needed to determine the

problem.

There is no sound.



Make sure the AC power adaptor and power cord are securely connected.



Press the VOLUME + button to turn up the volume.



Make sure your “WALKMAN” is securely connected.



Make sure your “WALKMAN” is playing music.

After prescribing the remedies above, if the problem still persists, press the RESET

button of your “WALKMAN” to reset it.

There is a severe hum or noise.



Move the system away from any possible sources of noise.



Connect the AC power adaptor to a different mains.

The sound is distorted.



Press the VOLUME – button to reduce the volume.



Set the sound mode of the “WALKMAN” to normal or flat sound quality.

The stand becomes detached.



Install the stand into the system by following the procedure below.

 Fit the upper right hinge of the stand on the right side pin on the rear of the

system. Be sure to fit the hinge on the right side pin first.

Ne disposez pas le système en position inclinée.

N’installez pas le système dans un endroit chaud ou exposé aux rayons directs du

Soyez particulièrement prudent lorsque vous placez le système sur une surface

ayant subi un traitement spécial (cirée, huilée, polie, etc.), car il peut laisser des

Entretien

Nettoyez les boîtiers avec un chiffon doux légèrement imprégné d’eau ou d’une

solution détergente neutre. N’utilisez aucun type de tampon abrasif, de poudre à

2 Installez le « WALKMAN » dans le système.

Remarques



Si une bandoulière est fixée à votre « WALKMAN », glissez-la par-dessous et

faites-la ressortir à l’avant du « WALKMAN ». Avant d’utiliser l’enceinte, vérifiez si

les cordelettes de la dragonne ne sont pas glissées dans la rainure incurvée.



D’origine, la fixation se trouve dans l’enceinte. Si la fixation se détache, remettez-la

en place en la faisant glisser dans l’enceinte jusqu’à ce qu’elle émette un déclic,

comme illustré.

Ecoute de musique

1 Ecoutez du contenu enregistré sur le « WALKMAN ».

2 Appuyez sur la touche VOLUME +/– du système pour régler le

volume.



Il n’est pas nécessaire de raccorder l’adaptateur secteur pour écouter le

« WALKMAN » installé dans le système.



En réglant [Optimiseur sortie HP] sur [SRS-NWGT015] sur votre

« WALKMAN », vous pouvez optimaliser la qualité du son reproduit par

l’enceinte. Seul ce réglage de la qualité du son est appliqué à l’enceinte,

contrairement à tout autre.



Pour obtenir plus d’informations sur l’écoute du « WALKMAN », reportez-

vous au « Guide de l’utilisateur » fourni avec le « WALKMAN ».



Vous pouvez aussi utiliser votre « WALKMAN » quand le support de l’enceinte

est refermé.

Remarques



Lorsque vous écoutez le « WALKMAN » sans raccorder l’adaptateur secteur, la

puissance du volume du système est réduite. Vous consommez aussi l’énergie

de la batterie du « WALKMAN ».



Pour régler le volume, profitez que le « WALKMAN » est installé. Si vous

débranchez l’adaptateur secteur pendant la lecture et si vous débranchez aussi

le « WALKMAN », le volume retrouve son réglage par défaut.



Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser la radio FM lorsque le « WALKMAN » est installé

dans le système.



Lorsque vous utilisez le « WALKMAN » alors que celui-ci est installé dans le

système, soutenez-le avec l’autre main.

Remarque



Lorsque [Optimiseur sortie HP] est réglé sur [SRS-NWGT015] (réglage par

défaut) sur votre « WALKMAN », l’autonomie de la batterie peut être réduite

d’environ 30 %.

Pour recharger la batterie du

« WALKMAN »

Si vous glissez le « WALKMAN » dans le système alors que l’adaptateur secteur est

raccordé, la batterie commence à se recharger automatiquement. Le déroulement de

la recharge est affiché sur le « WALKMAN ». Pour plus d’informations, reportez-

vous au « Guide de l’utilisateur » fourni avec votre « WALKMAN ».

Dépannage

En cas de problème avec le système, consultez la liste de vérification des pannes ci-

dessous et appliquez la solution suggérée. Si le problème persiste, contactez votre

revendeur Sony.

Sachez que si le technicien remplace certaines pièces au cours de la réparation, il

peut conserver celles-ci.

Veillez à retourner la totalité du système lorsque vous le faites réparer.

Ce produit est un système dont la totalité est requise pour déterminer le problème.

Il n’y a pas de son.



Assurez-vous que l’adaptateur secteur et le cordon d’alimentation sont

correctement raccordés.



Appuyez sur la touche VOLUME + pour augmenter le volume.



Assurez-vous que le « WALKMAN » est correctement raccordé.



Assurez-vous que le « WALKMAN » lit de la musique.

Si le problème persiste après avoir appliqué les solutions ci-dessus, appuyez sur la

touche RESET de votre « WALKMAN » pour le réinitialiser.

Le niveau de ronflement ou de bruit est élevé.



Eloignez le plus possible le système des sources de bruit éventuelles.



Raccordez l’adaptateur secteur à une autre prise secteur.

Le son est déformé.



Appuyez sur la touche VOLUME – pour réduire le volume.



Réglez le mode de son du « WALKMAN » sur la qualité normal ou linéaire.



 Glissez la charnière supérieure droite du support sur la broche droite, à l’arrière

du système. Veillez à placer d’abord la charnière sur la broche droite.

 Glissez l’autre charnière sur la broche gauche, puis appuyez sur le support jusqu’à

ce qu’il émette un déclic.
