Intended use1.
This product is designed for shredding paper, CDs and credit cards. The separate collection container allows
the separation of shredded CDs and credit cards from shredded paper. Use the product only in dry indoors.
Unauthorisedconversionand/ormodicationofthedeviceareinadmissiblebecauseofsafetyandapproval
reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to
associatedriskssuchasshort-circuit,re,electricshock,etc.Pleasereadtheoperatinginstructionsthoroughly
and keep them for further reference.

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the
product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe
these operating instructions. The warranty/ guarantee will then expire!

Persons / Product
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!•
Do not reach into the feeder slot.•
Do not insert paper pin, staples or any other metal parts into the feeder slot. •
Keep long hair away from around the feeder slot. •
Keep ties, scarves, loose clothing and long necklaces or bracelets away from the feeder slot.•
Do not use spray bottles / cans in the immediate vicinity of the product.•
The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.•
The product must not be exposed it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, or •
dampness.
Unplug the mains plug from the mains outlet before cleaning the product or storing it for a longer period.•
Do not operate the device for longer than 2 minutes to avoid overheating the motor.•
The product should not be connected immediately after it has been brought from an area of cold •
temperature to an area of warm temperature. Condensed water might destroy the product. Wait until the
product stabilising to adapt to the new ambient temperature before use.
If there is reason to believe that safe operation is no longer possible, the device is to be taken out of •
operation and secured against unintended operation. Safe operation is no longer possible if:
the device has sustained visible damages, -
the device no longer works properly, -
and the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time, -
the device was subject to considerable transport stress. -
Miscellaneous
Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.•

Initial operation5.
Place the shredder on a level surface.1.
Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.2.
Shredding paper
Do not insert more than 6 sheets of paper (size DIN A4 with a maximum grammage of
75 g/m
2
) into the insertion slot.
Do not shred adhesive notes or paper with remains of adhesive.
Slide the selector switch to the right into the ‘AUTO’ position.1.
Now, carefully insert the paper into the insertion slot. The paper will automatically be fed in and shredded.2.
Shredding CDs / credit cards
Shred only one CD or credit card at a time.
Place the small collection container in the guide rails under the CD/credit card insertion slot.1.
Slide the selection switch into the middle position, ‘FWD CD/Card’. The motor is now permanently turned 2.
on.
Next, carefully insert a single credit card into the credit card insertion slot. The credit card will be fed in 3.
and shredded.
Bring the grey cap into the upright position to shred a CD.4.
Next, carefully insert a single CD into the CD insertion slot. The CD will be fed in and shredded. 5.
Whennished,slidetheselectorswitchtotheright,intothe‘AUTO’position.6.
Clearing paper jams
Slide the selector switch to the ‘REV’ position.1.
The cutting unit will now run in the reverse direction and push the jammed paper out again.2.
If pieces of paper remain in the cutting unit, press and hold the ’CLEAR’ button. The remaining pieces will 3.
now be shredded.
Troubleshooting6.
Problem Cause Solution
The cutting unit continuously
keeps on running in the ’AUTO’
position.
The paper container is full and
the paper from the cutting unit
cannot feed through.
Unplug the mains plug and empty
the container.
After shredding, there are still
pieces of paper remaining in the
cutting unit.
The remaining pieces of paper
are stuck between blades.
Slide the selector switch into the
‘REV’ position or press and hold
the ‘CLEAR’ button.
The automatic paper feed does
not work properly after having
used the cutting unit’s ‘REV’
mode.
Remaining pieces of paper block
the automatic feed.
The automatic feed stops,
however there is still paper in the
insertion slot.
The paper was inserted into the
insertion slot at an angle.
Ensure the paper is straight as it
goes into the insertion slot.
The paper is too soft, thin, damp
or creased.
Fold,dryorattenthepaper.
The device does not work,
although no pieces of paper
remain in the feeder.
The motor is overheated.
Leave the device to cool down
before putting it into operation
again.
Disposal7.
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
